Jokingly or not it is not nice to call your "girlfriend" a ho in front of anyone, at the very least he is extremely thoughtless and crass.

Well, I sure wouldn't like it if ANY guy called me a ho in front of a group of people, even if he was joking, I think it's tacky and disrespectful to you!

He may be only joking, but it's still not good to embarrass you like that. Tell him he upset you, and see what reaction you get.
Maybe he isnt thinking about how what he says or does effects you, and if he likes you he sure doesn't know how to show it yet.
