Hey! So we have our annual Sadie Hawkins coming up at our school and I wanted to ask this guy that I had a class with last year and we periodically talk, and seem to get along well, but I would consider us more aquaintences than friends.
Would it be weird to go up to him seemingly out of the blue and ask him to the dance?

Sure you should. It is a Sadie Hawkins Dance anyways. If you don't ask him, you may find yourself regretting it later in life.

Yes, the best time of the year, when the girls are required to ask the guys out! like I tell the guys, don't make it too hard, just walk up to him, and ask him if he's going to the dance, and if he isn't ask him, if he would like to go with you... go for broke girl, have fun

It would not be that weird if you have remained in contact with him over the year.
Just ask him orally instead of in writing, so that he doesn't see your spelling and punctuation mistakes. And learn the difference between a possessive (Hawkins') and a plural (Books).

I would talk to him a little more and then casually ask him if hes going to the dance. then if he says something like no, nobodys asked me. then ask him!

No just go ahead and do it....there is no way he would feel bad if you do but make sure he isn't already going with someone

welll duhhh i am having the same problem except like i think he might like this other girl idk but be yourself and ask him out or...just do this start talking to him if he talks to you ask him out a couple day later
