Decide if you are willing to risk losing your friendship if a relationship doesn't work out the way you want it to. If yes, then tell him how you feel. If no, then you'll just have to live with that! I think you should just tell him...

omg... had the exact same dilemma a few days ago, except i'm the guy. we've only known each other for 3 months, but we got along really well as friends. i started to want more than just be friends with her and told her, but she didn't feel the same. she said to me that it got a bit too awkward to be friends anymore bcos she is new to this kind of relationship. now i've lost her for good (at least for a long time until she get's over it).

i'm not trying to scare you, i'm just telling u how it works. if you tell him that u want more, u will risk losing him. however, u r the only person who can decide; is ur friendship with this guy extremely important to lose? or will it hurt too much to "just be friends" with him?

Why not just be straight forward and honest? You can ask him to dinner or something maybe have a few drinks and just tell him, what is the worst that is going to happen? He probably feels the same way but is also not sure how to approach you. You can always do the chick s** way and have some drinks first and tell him then if he doesn't feel the same way you can always blame it on the alcohol...lol

Just because you really, really, really like someone does NOT mean the feeling is mutual. Or perhaps he's not ready for anything more. Continue to be friends. MAYBE something will come of it. And then again, maybe it wont. We dont ALWAYS get what we think we want. And when we DO, we usually dont know what to do with it! ;)
With that said, do NOTHING.......

Just talk to him.
If you don't want to just flat out say that you like him or whatever, then drop hints.
Flirt a little, have fun with it.
And you never know, he could like you more then a friend, you just don't realize it.

try becoming closer to him by speaking to him more.
and whenyou become closer, flirt with him =)
like every now and again touch his arm or whatever when you are talking
slowly make them into hugs
and maybe later he'd like you alot and ask you out =D yay!

Explain to him that you want to be more then just friends, I just hope that it doesn't ruin your friendship.
