well, dont get her a watch- thats timefull :)
no jk, get her jewlery, or a watch or somthing like that. Inscribe it with a message...and it will last ofrever. Give it to her at a dinner for two thats romantic...and give it to her with flowers.

You know, charm bracelets have really made a come-back and I think they are adorable. You buy a nice white gold or silver one with lots of empty slots, and buy 1 nice charm to put in it. There are so many charms to choose from. Then, for each occasion in the future another charm can be purchased for the bracelet. Also, they are available all over the world so she can pick them up herself as travel souvenirs!

If you have the money, some kind of jewelry (nice, not cheap) is always good.
If you don't ahve a bunch of money, then go for something the two of you can do together. Like tickets to a play or a concert.
