For all of you superstitious folks out there: my friend has a bracelet of the evil eye, and no matter what she does, it won't stay fastened. What is your interpretation of this? She wishes good luck for her love life and bought the red bracelet, and it will still become unfastened, even if she triple-knots it.

BTW...I've seen her knotting, and it's EXTREMELY tight. We're just looking for explanations beyond the rational..we can do rational.

This is God's way of telling her to get rid of it. It is a symbol used in some witchcraft and is no good. I had the same problem with a ring I had one time. It would not stay on my finger, no matter what I put on it, it would keep slipping off. It was when I was practicing wicca. I later found out that it was a symbol that was evil. I no longer practice wicca and have turned to God and am a born again Christian.
To answer your question, tell your friend to follow the warning that is is not meant for her to wear it and get rid of it today.

There's nothing to be scared of, it's just meant to ward off evil. If you believe in that, other wise it's just a cool bracelet!

The phrase of evil eye was spoken of by Jesus. He was talking about stinginess. If a person is stingy (selfish with ones money), the eye is dark.

The evil eye is the darkness of the eye of a stingy person.

So, if your friend has a bracelet with an evil looking eye on it and it gets undone, it just isn't well made. Superstition.

Superstitious level- It's not meant for her to wear it.
Practical level-Get a new bracelet or a new necklace with the evil eye attach to it. I once had one many years ago, it was worn on my neck. I wore it for a long time before my eye broke, did I replace it nah!!!! Started wearing jade pendant after that.

Chances are she needs to cleanse it. It could also be that she is not meant to wear it. Tell her to put it in a bowl of salt for a week, then try to wear it. I usually anoint special talismans as well, with a blessed oil made for the specific purpose I'm using the talisman for. If it still won't stay fastened - tell her to dispose of it. I'm a firm believer that if you lose something or it won't stay put - it's not meant to be.

Of course my practical side says it could also be that she just got a lemon bracelet.

i think that is interesting. Id advise her to not wear the braclets. if they are meant to be worn, they will stay fastened. maybe your friend doesnt need the eye for luck and protection ;)

Make sure logical explanations have been ruled out before you begin to question the spirits.....

She probably sucks at tying knots, or the chain doesn't knot well.
