how to tell if a girl like you?

well there is this girl that i like i dont no if she likes me though beacuse 1 time when everyone was outside i said i was cold and she came and cuddled buy me for like 5 seconds then went back and talked to her friends then sometimes the certain class periode i have in the library with her we sit behind the bookshelf and talk to each other and she sometimes wants me to come sit by her ,but when her friends come to that certain spot and talk to them and there is this 1 gay kid (well alot of ppl think he is gay) that she always talks to and she wont barely talk to me when i am around so how am i supposed to tell if she likes me with out asking her out?

see if you ever catch her looking at you, if she is just smile back
or
if you got the heart to do it, go up to her and maybe ask. or better yet tell her you like her, ask her out
