He is talking about people who never believed Him. He says that those who do the will of His Father enter, and those He never knew are told to leave.
There are many who know "about" Jesus, yet never know Him. We even see that these have participated in religious rituals, such as prophesying, or casting our demons - even performing miracles - yet never knew Jesus.
You find these people in church. Sitting next to you in pews. They are life members. But when they leave church, they berate their spouse, kick the dog, and neglect the kids. Their lives are not in balance, and are all about themselves, and not Christ.

Isn't this an interesting question??
It is quite apparent from what Jesus says here that there are many sincere people who think they are pleasing God. They are not.
The world is full of a majority of people who choose for themselves how to worship God instead of bothering to see how he wants to be worshipped.
See Matthew 7:13 and 14 which goes with this scripture....
Few...find the correct road to life.
In John 4:23 & 24 Jesus said true followers would worship with spirit and truth. You find the ones who worship in spirit and truth and you will find those Jesus spoke of.
These ones are busy preaching the good news of the Kingdom which is the will of the father (Matthew 24:14). Most people today are preaching a message of personal prosperity. Whatever you do....find these people who are busy doing the will of the father as fast as you can and join them.

False Prophets and False conversions! Those whose hearts were not toward God, but only their good works thinking that will save them- saying they are followers of Christ but not truly following the Word of God. Such as many cults- LIke mormonism and Jehovah's witnesses- their teachigns are unbiblical. And many who think they are doing good works in the name of the Lord are really doing it to feel better about themselves and to "look good" -there will even be pastors on that day that the Lord will say "Depart from Me"- God sees all and knows the hearts of every person. Also those who think they can serve two masters- Like God and money as the Bible speaks of.
Jude 1:19
These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

This scripture is talking false prophets read this...15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
If you read from verse 15 you can see the whole picture of what jesus was saying he was talking about the people who prophecy for their own gain.

Because all they do is go to church on a Sunday, and that it,
They never have time to talk to other people about their Lord and saviour, or about his love, they never have time to help out other people in need and because they go to Church ever Sunday they think they are good Christians I don't like saying this but its true

I THINK GOD WAS TALKING TO EVERYBODY WHO BELIEVES IN HIM. IT TRUE THAT PEOPLE SAY LORD, LORD BUT DONT BELIEVE IN HIM SO THEY DONT GO TO HEAVEN. SOME BELIEVE AND SAY HIS NAME AND GO TO HEAVEN. I HOPE YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE, I AM.
GOD BLESS YOU
