It might be better to tuck it inside your collar. Don't take it off- you'll just wind up resenting this whole thing, and that would be unfortunate.
For occasions like this, my friends and I all have stealth jewelery. One woman has a pent that looks more like a flower. Mine is hand forged bronze and relatively small- of course that often backfires and results in people reaching for it and uttering the sentence "oh what a pretty. . . AUGH!"
Or you could just say nuts to it, and point out to anyone who asks about your exposed pentacle that it was a Christian symbol in the middle ages, and was the heraldic symbol of Sir Gawain of the round table.

I was raised Christian, I don't think it would be wrong of you to wear your pentagram. You shouldn't have to worry about it. Society has changed the world into this Holy War to the point where we are scared to be ourselves. Besides, everyone going to the play is there for the same reason, just to watch the show. Don't worry about it!

Tuck it inside your shirt.
While it is considered very offensive today, the pentagram, oddly enough, was a symbol used widely by the Church in the Middle Ages.

Since you are not wearing it 'out', as in making a statement, or advertising your non-christmas belief system - why should you take it off?
Keep it on, and keep an open mind - it's about showing someone support, other than yourself, yes??? This 'christian' holiday is about giving - sounds like that is what you are doing, by attending...

Just keep it tucked under your shirt, it's no different, if a Catholic went into a synagogue, they should tuck in their cross too, just a matter of respect.

Wear it under your shirt, maybe. Don't do anything that makes you feel like you're abandoning your religion, but don't make it all in-your-face. You don't want to start any arguments or anything,
