I have a one year old yorkshire terrier and he was being normally active like every day, but for some reason he has gotten very depressed looking. He has gone into a deep sleep and isn't moving too much. Usually he will move when we go by him. His nose is warm and dry. This all started about 45 minutes ago. I don't know if I should contact the vet or not. Does anyone on here have any advice?? We have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He has never been like this before. Is this normal for this type of dog??

Take him to a vet. Yorkies have small bodies and it doesnt' take much for something to go wrong. If he's not acting normally, better to be safe than sorry. They may recommend an x-ray or bloodwork- be prepared for that. Hope he will be ok. :)

you need to get to a vet a soon as possible. dog's noses are supposed to stay wet and moist. That should be the first sign that something is wrong. how much water did he drink today? he could be very dehydrated. my advice: get to the vet. That's the best place to go when you're unsure of what is going on.
hope he feels better!

Hi, it sounds like your dog has a virus at the very least. I would pop him down to the vet in the morning just to be on the safe side. If you're concerned or if he gets worse, ring your local Humane society/Vet for advice.

Good Luck

Have you had any changes at home? It doesn't sound right. what has he eaten? is he drinking water? You don't want him dehydrated. You need to call the vet. Good luck.

dry noses are normal, but if you think he is sick then go to the vet. are his ears really hot, has he been urinating ect, is he eating?
