If the penny has numismatic value, you DON'T want to clean it with a fruit juice! The acid in fruit juice can harm the surface of the coin, decreasing the value.
Dirt can be carefully cleaned off a copper coin using isopropyl alcohol or acetone and a cotton-tipped swab. You have to understand that to a collector, the naturally darkened surface of a copper or bronze coin is more attractive than an artificial shiny clean surface caused by harsh cleaning. Cleaning dirt off is okay, but anything that affects the surface metal-- as acid in fruit juice surely will-- is a no-no.

Well Coca Cola would be an idea, but I don't really know. But what I can tell you, is that the junk in the Cola helps cleaning it.
I don't know any other product that will help and is cheap. Because if you would buy anything ells, you would pay for a bottle that you might use once or twice, so better use Cola.
Hope that you get your coin clean and good luck with it.

The cleaning you experience is caused by the acidic nature of the liquid. The more acidic the more is will "clean" up to the point the acid dissolves the metal you wish to keep. Using a natural source lemon would probably be best. However only slightly remove form a pure source is vinegar, which does a really nice job.
