So this is hecka weird. I was in class taking a test, and my stomach growled so freaking loud everyone started laughing and saying "Is that someone's STOMACH!?! GROSS!!!!" Anyway, it happens like a billion times a day, to the point where I hate taking tests... fearing that my stomach will speak again. But the weird thing is, I ate like, just 20 minutes earlier! It doesn't matter what I eat, or how much I eat (Once I ate 4 pancakes and a waffle and my stomach still growled!), it always growls. What's going on? Do I have IBS or something? Please give me long answers I need to know whats going on!

Borborygmus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Borborygmus (plural borborygmi) (from Greek βορβορυγμος) is the rumbling sound produced by the movement of gas through the intestines of animals. The word borborygmus is an actual onomatopoeia for this rumbling.
The "rumble" or "growl" sometimes heard from the stomach is a normal part of digestion. It originates in the stomach or upper part of the small intestine as muscles contract to move food and digestive juices down the gastrointestinal tract.
Although this muscle contraction happens whether or not food is present, rumbles are more common after the animal has gone several hours without eating. This may be why a "growling" stomach is often associated with hunger.
Rumbles may also occur when there is incomplete digestion of food that can lead to excess gas in the intestine. In humans this can be due to incomplete digestion of carbohydrate-containing foods including milk and other dairy products (lactose intolerance or the use of α-glucosidase inhibitors by diabetics), gluten (protein in wheat, barley, and rye) (celiac disease), fruits, vegetables, beans, legumes, and high-fiber whole grains. In rare instances excessive abdominal noise may be a sign of digestive disease, especially when accompanied by abdominal bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea or constipation.

It's usually not anything to worry about. It sounds like you're still in the K-12 school system, and you may just be going through a growth spurt. Basically your body is burning through all the food you're eating because it's using it so quickly.
I almost hesitate to mention this, but you mentioning it happening after you ate pancakes and waffles, and that it happens all the time. So I think you should take a look at the information and see if it sounds familiar.
There is a condition called Celiac Disease where your body doesn't tolerate wheat (and a few other related things) well, and you get all sorts of odd symptoms that sometimes seem to be unrelated.
Here's a link to the information by the National Institutes of Health about celiac.

If that sounds like something that may be going on there are a couple of really good message boards that you and your parents can visit to find out more information.

I had IBS for 18 years, starting when I was 17 years old, before they figured out that gluten was causing all of my symptoms.

Don't worry, this happens to everyone whether they admit it or not. What causes this is a number of things, first any air that you swallowed while eating is now trapped in your stomach and it has no where to go so what you are hearing is air moving around. Also, your body has just gotten food after a long night and is not in the process or digesting so it can make noise while doing it. Unfortunately, our bodies don't know how embarrassing we feel when it makes those noises.

Maybe its not what u ate ,but what u drank, juices tend to do this
It could just be air in your stomach also, take a pepcid AC and see if it stops.
If u have IBS.....get u some dark karo syrup---take a teaspoon.

That always happens to me! I'm not hungry, and my stomach makes these freaky rumbles, and they are louder during tests or stressful events. My mother once said it was stomach ulcers, but I don't believe her. I'm fine, though, I'm still alive. And it's been happening FOREVER. About two years now, on and off.
I think you'll be okay.

I have a really loud tummy too. My husband jokes that there's an alien in me and he can hear it from across the room. There's not a lot you can do about it.
