Are you diabetic? Is the pain tingling felling like pins sticking in your feet? Or sometimes feel cold even though they are warm to the touch? See a podiatrist (foot doctor). He can advise you what to do about the pain, also check with your medical doctor and get your blood checked for diabetes. Good Luck.

There is a fairly new drug called LYRICA. It is used for nerve damage and also for people that are diabetic or people who have had shingles. I have alot of nerve damage and my dr. ordered it for me and i thought it was helping until my ankles swelled up like that of an elephant. Yes, all drugs have side effects. It will tell you on the paper they give you with the script that swelling could occur in your hands and feet. But you know everyone is different...it might work for you!!!! i know about that hip pain though........my left hip is killing me right now and i have to have a total hip replacement soon.......UGH!!!! At this point i just want to get it done and get it over with!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hear that the pain goes away pretty quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

There is a medication called Lyrica which is supposed to be excellent at treating neuropathy. You need a prescription for it, so, as they say on tv, "ask your doctor" about Lyrica.

Good luck.

Montell Williams smokes marijuana for this.... and it helps him a lot. he has MS. it helps him more than "8 oxycontin" he says.

Also, neurontin is given off-label for this.
