There is a really bad chest cold making it's rounds. If you have a chest cold and you are having a hard time breathing you need an expectorant to help you bring the mucus up and out of your lungs.
Drink plenty of fluids to keep the mucus thin and easier to cough up. If you have a vaporizer, use it. Stepping into a steaming shower will help as well. So will going from a hot steamy room to a cold dry one and back and forth.

If your fingernails or lips look blue you aren't getting enough oxygen and need to go the doctor, emergency room or call an ambulance.

Wow - what the hec are you doing posting for advice if you are that sick?

Can't breathe emergency procedure (assuming not due to allergy or asthma): Go to the bathroom - close the door and crank up the shower to maximum HOT. DON'T get in the shower, the steam from the hot water from the shower will fill the room and offer temporary relief from respiratory congestion.

Then, get your butt to a Doctor, hospital or clinic anyway you can.

Jeez Louise.....

You could have a severe respiratory infection or conjestion. You need to get to a doctor or hospital E.R. now before it gets worse. This is not some thing to play with. We are talking your life right now. As a certified E.M.T. I say go now. If the hospital is to far away or you have no other way there call an ambulance. PLEASE dont wait.

You may or may not have athsma or allergies. If you happen to have them, you may want to go to a doctor because your air flow could get cut off completely in a matter of minutes. I would know because i myself have athsma and have been to the hospital 3 times. it is very serious.

I think you should get bedrest and only eat fruit for the time being. At meals eat things like warmed chunky soup. Juicing is also very helpful for most all illnesses.
