The Bible is essentially a library of sixty-six books or letters, written by forty or so men, who lived in several countries, over a 1500-year period. They wrote in three languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.

Ultimately, the Author is God. As it is written: "...Instead, men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (II Peter 1:21) And "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness..." (II Timothy 3:16)

There is a single author for each book of the bible. The books that make up the New Testement were chosen by a council of clergymen who decided which Christian writings to include, and which ones to leave out. So it doesn't comprise a complete selection of Christian writings from the same period. There's a gnostic part of the story that many people may not even be aware of. Probably because a lot of it sounds too much like it came from ancient Egyptian philosophy that the Greeks also adopted in the pre-Christian era.

I have asked this question a number of times.
Some people will tell you they know exactly who it was but then you look at the next answer and it contradicts what you have just been told.
The fact is that nobody knows who wrote it,when it was written, when it was translated, who translated it.
Yet some people believe that every word is fact.

In the Book of Revelation, we read "Jesus made it all
known by sending an angel to his servant John, who
testifies to everything and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Blessed is the one who reads the Words and Blessed
are those who hear it and take it to heart what is written."
Those only with the gift of the Holy Spirit were picked by
God to record His words.

Humans like yourself. Like me and you. No not just one specific one. Many and many, and it has changed many times. You take this as religion? Please be aware that there is a Quraun out there which is the words of GOD. Just God and only God and never ever changed until this day. That's something to think about and consider for truth.
