Prices have really dropped on good ceiling fans! Any discount store has an assortment.
I would recommend one of the fans about 2 1/2 foot across for a bedroom. Most people buy one too large for their room--the smaller one work much better!

We've had some Hunter fans that are reasonably priced.

Hunter brand remote control ceiling fans. Go for it, you'll never regret it.

Hunter is good but I've installed about 30 "Hampton Bay" fans and I find them reliable, easy to install, easy to get replacement parts, etc.
