It's a great piece of fiction, although the writing is rather bad.

The Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction. I worked at the Vatican for five years and am so tried of being asked to 'prove' the Da Vinci Code.
Take a basic art history course. Read the Bible. Actually look at Da Vinci's painting of the last supper.

When something is based on hearsay then it usually is hard to contradict. Nothing, really, has proved that Mary-Magdalene was Christ's wife, the holly grail, or that Christ had children. This is based on hearsay and not recorded fact. Besides, what the Da Vinci code reveals is only detrimental to the Catholic church, and not to Christianity as a whole.

Perfect? How is it perfect? Only the Qur'an is perfect ... everything else is flawed ... because Allah SWT doesn't make mistakes.
Da Vinci Code is a great piece of fiction, with some fact here and there ... it's only theories and theories can be proven wrong.

I have never red the book however the movie does have a contradiction. And if the movie is truely based on the book then it too would have the same contradiction. In the last supper picture there are glasses on the table. Even though they are pretty small they are on there which was one of the points that was brought up in the movie. Again I don't know if the book has this same contradiction.

No its not. Have you ever heard of the History Channel? Discovery? It has been debunked. There always is the slimmest possiblity that Jesus did have a romantic relationship but he barely speaks of any relationships between man and woman in the Bible. Anyway if that was true why would Mary go to Gaul(Modern Day Francais) of all places? I find it nice fiction but the proof of those so called "facts" are ridiculous. It isn't a history book people.

It wasn't perfect, it had tom hanks in it :( would have much preferred Nick Nolte from cape fear.
On a serious note we never know the full story about anything. We already know that the bible has been tampered with by various people so who knows, mabe Mary Magdalene is under the louvre, but you'd think someone, like architects and builders would know about it wouldn't you. True or not the book was good and the film was crap.

It's a good movie and theres no proof that it's technically not fiction, but theres no proof it is either. And it's very possible that it is true. You just never know. Personally I think it's true. But again I'm not Christian and I don't have any disputes to the movie like that so there.
