you should do what ever your heart tells you to do. It might be smart to tell your friend because it's never as important as loosing a friend

Honestly, It's tricky (probably why you asked), I did this once years ago, and my friend never fully forgave me. The relationship didn't last, and when I weigh the outcome, it would have been a better move to decline. But that was my situation. I would say the best way to judge this, is to determine if your friend is really interested in him, if you are really interested in him, and who would be more compatible with him overall. I also don't think it would hurt to talk to your friend and get a feel for their feelings towards said "guy." good luck.

stay away from the problem. Even if you do get him, you'll eventually break up and also have a lost friend. For time being, just forget about him. Do good deed for ur friend and you'll find a better person.

Neither of you go out with him. My friend always goes out with the guys I like so it feels like Im competing with her for boyfriends. So, try not to. Its caused so much trouble in our friendship!

Let him choose, If he likes your friend and he likes her then you shouldn't stand in the way of that, otherwise they will both hate you.
I know you like him but dose he like you?, if he likes you and your friend then he's not worth it as this could lead to cheating or could make your friend mad at you.
Who do you like more?, your friend or him?, Think about your friend first and not yourself, that's what good friends do.

you should see if he likes you more....and if your friend gets angry with you tell her you're sorry but if he doesn't like her then that is just another thing in life she's going to have to deal with....otherwise, you might try talking to her, and see if there's another guy she's got her eye on...good luc
