does it go bad?, ive had it for 3 years, and found it in the cupboard.

There should be a 'best before' date on it somewhere, so check it out carefully. If there isn't you can e-mail the producer, give the product number and they will tell you if it has expired or not. That said, whey protein lasts a pretty long time. Was it unopened, or had it been partially used? If it was sealed, it might still be good, but if it had been opened it's been subject to oxidation, and might be a little rancid. It's hard to say, really, without knowing it's condition, but do check for that 'best before' number, because it should be on it somewhere.

In theory about a year. In practice, so long as you keep it dry and keep it in a sealed container it will last forever. Whey protein has no Use By date, it has a 'Best Before' date. What that means is that it will be safe to use well after the date, but it will decline in quality of flavour.

I think it may be outdated and old..It dont last that long...Mine expires in 8.31.09 I got it a month ago..Plus it might have expired faster being in a cupboard..and not room temperature.

Look on the label. There should be an expiration date somewhere. If you're in doubt, throw the stuff out.

Throw it out.. that is way past the expiration... more than a few months and I would not trust it. It could make you sick.

usually around 2 years. id say try it and see if it makes you sick. if it does stop. if not keep using it and work out.
