no its never a bad idea. maybe he can give you some advice on how to boost your self asteem. ask him how he feels being the way he is. does he get unsure about himself sometimes? then ask him how does he cope with it? maybe u can get some pointers. i have low self asteem too but my friends keep me uplifted as well. just stay true to yourself and have fun with the guy you like. keep yourself happy and dont worry about whatever is keeping you from having high self asteem. dont focuz on it because believe it or not in many ways you are very beautiful on so many levels. keep that in mind and see how you feel.

I am also a little on the shy side and my bf is very outgoing. I have found that when we are together a bit of him rubs off on me. I have started to become more comfortable in social settings, and am more interested in meeting new people. So, I think that if you 2 both like each other than you should go for it. Remember opposites do attract.

I say go out with him. A guy like him is exactly what you need. Once you're around him and his friends, you'll start to come out of your shell more.

I don't see why you think that would be a bad idea. You could have fun. Although, you would probably have to be careful that he isn't so outgoing that it's embarrassing.
