after your bath or shower, rub your feet with a pumice stone, smear on a generous amount of vaseline and put on some socks and sleep in them , in the morning yourf feet will have soaked up all the vaseline and be soft. do this a few times a week or whenever you want. It works for me

Zims Crack creme. My feet are so dry they crack and bleed. I have tried everything over the past twenty years, even prescriptions and the ONLY thing that works, and is not expensive at all is Zims. You can gt it anywhere, Wally world of course being the cheapest. You can get it for less than $5. Try the lotion first, it also comes as a creme. The lotion soaks in faster and lasts longer. Be careful though, it is slippery for a bit. Hope this helps, I LOVE this stuff. It is a godsend for me.

I suffer from really bad dry skin on my heals and toes.
Don't leave them in water too long as this takes the oils out of your already dry skin. Also use a foot file (two sided, in chemist for about 89p) once a week to take any flaky skin away.
I use a moisturiser called Aveeno. The doctor gave it to me but you can buy it from the chemist, about the same price as a prescription. It really works but you must use it daily.
When I was in the states on holiday I found Aveeno with menthol in that works for 24 hours. I brought loads back with me as then it was not available here.
Now you can buy it at the larger Boots stores and it really is fantastic. I use it as soon as I come out of the shower and it only takes a small amount and lasts for ages. It's about 7.99 for quite a large container. Also Brilliant all over moisturiser.

OK please ignore all of the other answers, I PROMISE you this will work.
The Body Shop do this thing, its a blue spong/stone thing. You use it in the shower. The skin just comes straight off, it's excellent. It may take you a couple of showers to get it all off. But as long as you get it off and moisturise, you can keep rid of it.
It is the best remedy, I promise, I had this problem and it was painful.
It costs about £2/3 pound (either 2.50 or 3.50 i can't remember) but its better than those files.
Any moisturiser will do, as lon as you put plenty on and the wear socks.

Try Aquaphor Healing Ointment Jar (available at all pharmacies for just $7 or $8). Just put a little on at night - it works wonders! I used to have severely dry skin on my feet until i started to do this occasionally - I forget to do so every night - i do not have dry skin on my feet.

Best way of getting rid of it is to get a chiropodist to do it - they sort of slice it away with a special tool. If not you can use a foot file, available at the chemist, on the pharmacy section, that will help. I wouldn't bother with cheap products, they're a waste of time & effort.

i used to have the same problem and i started using the palmers cocoa butter formula on my feet... it come in a small tub and the actualy cream is quite hard... really oily....i normally put it on twice a day and keeps my skin really soft... after ur shower dry ur feet properly and apply this cream generously... its feels really oily but massage it in and put on a pair of socks to keep ur feet warm.... do the same at night after washing ur feet.... at first u might need to put on loads just to smooth the skin out... then after a while one application a day should suffice...
once a week u could soak ur feet and a small bucket or something... and get one of those foot sracper things u get from boots of superdrugs... they just tk the dead skin off... might help...
hope this helps!
oh and by the way the cocoa butter tub is about 2.50 to 3.99 depending on where u buy it from.. think asda is the cheapest... and its more of a balm as opposed to a cream hence its oiliness....

I've heard cutting lemons in half and rubbing them on your heels can help. Walking in the sand/sea at the beach does wonders if you are near one. Moisturise and wear cotton socks to bed helps too - do you have cracking or just dry skin? That Eulactol heel balm is suppoed to be good for cracking.

exfoliate using a body scrub or loofah to get rid of the dead skin,do it just before coming out of the bath. then moisturise eveyry day with a good lotion. You may need to exfoliate tow or three time a week. rub you feet with vaseline or thick lotion, then put socks on before you go to bed. let all the moisture sink in overnight , they should feel softer.

I use a product that has pumice in it, and it's been wonderful for me. I guess it depends on your feet. If nothing works for you, go to the doctor, but I really like what I'm using. It's a scrub with pumus, and it has peppermint in it.
