Keep in mind that everyone has different reactions to various medications. I was on Lexapro a while back and it was very gentle for me and quite effective, then I heard of it causing problems for other people. Try taking it, if you start having bad reactions or effects, you need to contact the doctor. My first few times I took Lexapro, I had blurred vision and then once I adjusted I was just fine.

Lexapro is very safe. I have been on it for 2 years and I haven't had one bad experience. The only thing is, if you miss a pill it usually makes you feel tired and kind of sick. So make sure you take it regularly. It's even safe to take during pregnancy, I'm pregnant and still taking it. Doctors have not found and dangers in lexapro.

I was taking 225mg Effexor and after a year or so, it just didn't work anymore and sometimes the depression got worse. My doctor changed me to Cymbalta. I've been on it since last October and have been feeling terrific ever since. It has the usual side effects which increase liver function numbers; however with Cymbalta I do not have the sexual dysfunction side effects thank goodness. When I have an anxiety attack which is seldom (because of the Cymbalta) I'll take a clonazepam (klonopin) I works so much faster than xanax, it lasts longer than xanax too. I've never heard of Pristiq. I've never taken Lexapro. Feel better and as my therapist says...maintain altitude!

I took it and I thought it was great.
The only drawback - I couldn't ejaculate.
Seriously. But I felt so good on the drug - I didn't care.
My doctor said others had reported similar reactions.
Eventually I kept at it until I was able to ejaculate, but it was still VERY difficult.
