Science has actually proven that when someone says you are their "true love" you experience mutually 7 more love points than if you are the "love of my life." The person who is the true love will also receive 2 happiness points later if they can attain both "love of my life" and "true love" status. Yay for science!!

I have always felt that the "love of your life" is someone you should never spend your life with. Just supposed to be a happy memory to look back on and smile. True love lasts forever.

Pinkdraws,
To me to say you are the love of my life is kind of temporary, where as, you are my true love seems more final and convincing. What I like to hear even more is simply " I Love You ".

The difference is how its said and in some cases who says it. If you feel the same way it all means the same.

wow thats a really good question.. ahh i would think when they say love of my life, that it's the best love they've had and when they say true love i would think that it means for the rest of life..
i'm not really sure though, they kinda have the same meaning.. good luck!

There is no difference. It's just a different way of saying the same thing.
