I'm trying out for the part of Mrs. Meers (a fake chinese lady) in our school musical, thoroughly Modern Millie, this year, and I need to figure out how to fake a chinese accent. So far, I know that I need to turn my Ls into Rs. What else do you need to do to create a fake chinese accent? The more obvious the better. It doesn't need to be authentic, just distinctive. The cheesier the better.

Yeah, do that, and drop all the 't's and 's's , the 'th' sound into a 'd'... There are I think some more, but I have to think about it. E- mail, me, I might come up with more later. I've imigrated to Canada as a kid and moved back to Hong Kong at like 9 and came back this Summer, so I have the Canadian acccent, though I can fake a Chinese accent good.

You should watch Sixteen Candles just because it's a movie everyone should see. :) That was seriously a good answer (to the guy above me), because the Donger is such a stereotypical Asian character. It sounds like that's the kind of accent you're looking for. Break a leg!

You'd have to be around someone with a thick accent to really get it right.

Replace all "L" sounds with an "R" and vica versa. Then, remove question verbs and 'T's out of your questions (instead of "Do you want wontons?" say "You wan wonton?"). Good luck

- Pronounce "s" and "z" = "see" ex. size = sisee (s-ay-s-ee)
