You should tell him that he's talking nonsense.
Hitler is like God? Ridiculous! Hitler was a pathetic amateur compared to God. Hitler may have killed a few million Jews, gypsies, etc and we think he was a bad man because of it, but that pales into insignificance beside what God did.
God *really* knew how to commit genocide. He wiped out whole cities at a stroke, every man, woman and (presumably innocent) child! And if that's not enough to convince your son that God was *much* worse than Hitler, just remind him of the Noah's Ark story. God wiped out the entire population of the planet!!!!! (Bar Noah and family, of course.)
No, tell your son he's wrong. Hitler may have been a bad man, but God is an Evil Monster!!!!

Correct your son. And do it now. No comparison and what a sin to compare God and hitler. satan is on a rampage and has instilled crap in your sons way of thinking. Save your son from such negative thoughts about God. Thinking of hitler you should provide the entire history of that son of satan. What hitler did, was not because of God. It was because he chose to kill thousands of innocent people. You need to set your son straight on knowing the difference. The true stories, of hitler is a nightmare. What he did and ordered experiments on small children, was cruel and in-humane. You need to tell him about God the Father Almighty , and how he Loves us. Read to him the wonderful passages of the Bible and in the Holy Bible it tells us parents to teach our children in the way they should go. It is our duty as parents and if you don't teach your children the right way, you will answer for it.

OK, assuming there is a god (mot my opinion) many people have killed in his name, the witch trial being and the crusades. being best example and in World War 2, Hitler had many people killed on his orders.
The difference is simple as God never ordered the deaths of the women who were burned as witches, where as Hitler wanted to eradicate the Jews, Homosexuals and many other minority groups that he felt did not conform to his "perfect society". Explain these differences to your son, who should, depending on his age understand these differences.

you tell him he was a christian..........................
History is currently being distorted by the millions of Christians who lie to have us believe that the Holocaust was not a Christian deed. Through subterfuge and concealment, many of today’s Church leaders and faithful Christians have camouflaged the Christianity of Adolf Hitler and have attempted to mark him an atheist, a pagan cult worshipper, or a false Christian in order to place his misdeeds on those with out Jesus. However, from the earliest formation of the Nazi party and throughout the period of conquest and growth, Hitler expressed his Christian support to the German citizenry and soldiers. Those who would make Hitler an atheist should turn their eyes to history books before they address their pews and chat rooms.
Considering that Christianity has thus far been incapable of producing an unbiased, educated follower which speaks the truth, (I haven’t encountered any), I have been forced to dispel the myth by writing this essay. It is not until I bring up his speeches, my personal info on the Nazi regime and their tactics that a Christian will begin to question what their clergy told them. (I am the offspring of a German soldier. My Opa served under Hitler in WW2 and my father was raised during the time of the Nazi regime. This is important information to take into consideration for I am privy to some info that most Americans do not know. It is common for American media and education institutions to lie to their citizens concerning Nazi Germany.) So, in presenting this information I must break it into four parts: 1) Facts about Hitler and his involvement with the Church. 2) How the Church was the catalyst for anti- Semitism. 3) Facts concerning how the Nazi regime drilled these beliefs into Germanic society. 4) Quotes Hitler made which prove he had a disdain for atheism/occultism, upheld his Christian faith, and hated Jews due to his Christianity.

Hitler is in no way shape or form like GOD. Hitler because of conditions especially economic was able to be elected to a seat of power. then through devious means gained control and took over the German Government. Hitler was not even German but felt all German speaking countries should be united.

That is a tough one and religion/spirituality is very confusing in our current society.
God is about creation and life. While the bible talks of God "initiating" killing it was never done without reason. Because of his work he helped mankind evolve, and in the end, God forgave and always forgives. God does not sanction murder or say it is okay in anyway.
Hitler ordered killing of people in attempt to ruin lives. He never forgave them and never intended to. He only wanted people erased for his own personal reasons. He not only sanction death, he demanded it. Hitler also died and never came back, he was a mortal man in every way (and a sick one).

You can tell your son that Hitler is like the "god" of this world who is the Devil and not like Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. 4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
John 10:10 The thief (Devil) comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I (Jesus) came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
John 8:42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. 43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

People misuse the name of God in order to fulfill their own (good or evil) wishes. None of it is actually done by him.
Hitler actually caused the monstrous wickedness of the Nazi regime.
So it isn't God's fault, but it was Hitler's.
