women are more likely to get raped, abused, etc.
they want to protect you, and this is how they're going to do it.
it isnt fair that women have to be a lot more careful about their honor than men (who get away w/ almost anything because they cant get pregnant), but that unfairness isnt your parents fault. they just really love you.

Well, more of a story, but it makes you think about your question.
So a few years back, when i was living with my rents, i had a girlfriend stay over, good enough, my 26 year old sister and her finance had to say in different bedrooms. my sister is 9 years older than me.
I guess its just got to do with the whole boys will be boys stigmata that comes along with being a boy, where as girls are seen as being innocent and have to be lady like. Its something I've noticed growing up in a family with 9 siblings, the guys always get the go for it first- plus, mom's are so much easier on their sons, than a father is on their daughter..

No, it's not, but it's also not fair that women can't walk around after dark without worrying about their personal safety.
Your parents are just looking out for you. They don't want you to get hurt. A lone guy is less likely to be raped or assaulted or robbed than a lone woman.

Cause they know the women can control the sex. Can't keep a guy from chasin it, but can keep the girl from giving it to an asshole.

because women will lose their virginity and get pregnant and might raise a child alone...unlike the boys, they dont get pregnant. Have you heard of any boys who gave birth? i dont think so...lol!
