im sure you know this but i think the most important thing is the desire to quit has to exceed the addictiton ive been off the ciggarettes for about 13 years and i too quit several times for a year or a little more its not easy i used untraditonal ways i never quit ''cold turkey'' but some people can sometimes i would smoke brands i didnt like so i wouldnt smoke as much i also would break off the end of one and put it in my mouth like chew after a few minutes of that i didnt want one .also i purchased some ciggarettes made out of cabbage from a place that sold smoking materials made for illegal activities and they helped just to get smoke in the lungs if you have tried chewing tobacco and dont like it or have not tried it that is also an option just dont get hooked on it like people do on the gum i never tried the gum but it seemed expensive and it has nicotine in it just like some of the things i mentioned but to take nicotine in a way that its nasty helped me mabe even put a half smoked piece of ciggarette in your mouth yuk also it might be a good idea to take up a hobby perhaps jogging or riding a bike if its getting to cold you could join a gym or get some exersise equipment anything to get your mind off it also hang out at places you cant smoke movie theatres, restaurants [not to much there mabe] anyway hope it helps

i got the pill Zyban from my doctor, you smoke for 2 weeks while taking it an set your quit day for sometime within 2 weeks, you continue taking this pill for about 3 months in all. it was the easiest thing i ever had to do, i had tried many times before but couldn't win, quitting is the HARDEST thing anyone has to do, you don't seem to have a problem quitting so i'm sure you can do it again, good luck to you!!!

It is tough...I quit 15 yrs ago and will always want to smoke...however, watching someone die from lung cancer did it for me. They gasped for every breath. By the way, how could you afford them?

you quit before that means that you can quit it.the problem is that you don’t have real desire to quit it. just have a real desire and strong motivation to quit smoking.
