There are many Christians who think they are
But truly not,
Smoking, drinking is one example
of false believer.
Think...
You were once stuck on a miry clay, and someone picks you up and puts you down in a safe home that you can use,...

Thats what Jesus did to you.
Even though you cant see it..
IT`s there, like air!
Tell me if you can see air!
Because I cant.
But we believe there is air we`re breathing.

If you think your saved by Lord Jesus Christ,,
You are on the right track. :)

How is smoking and drinking related to a false believer?
Does that mean because someone smokes, then they don't don't truly believe in Christ?

One does not "think" if they have accepted Jesus or not.....either they have, or they have not. And if they have, that does not all the sudden make them holy......All people, christian or not, sin according to the bible. THAT is the purpose of being saved by Jesus, so we will not perish by are own sin. Christians sin, but since they have accepted Christ, they can be forgiven.

John 3:16- And God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

It does not say whosoever believeth in him, and also does not smoke and drink, will have everlasting life. Sin does not make a christian a false believer....Sin makes a christian human like everyone else. But only through Christ can we be saved from it.

I don't think I am saved, I KNOW I am saved. Yes I have accepted Jesus as my saviour and no I don't drink or smoke and I have no desire to go to a bar or any place where people are getting drunk.. This is just not my lifestyle. I prefer to associate with others who are on the same track I am on which is serving God.

The fact that one has said a prayer doesn't mean one has truly given oneself to Jesus.

The fact that one still has an addiction afterwards doesn't mean that one hasn't.

Paul still had a 'thorn' in his side, though it wasn't revealed what that thorn was.

From what I've seen of Christians, many still get ill, and addiction is a powerful illness. People judging them for not being able to let go of an addiction tends to lead them away from judgemental churches; sometimes away from judgemental Christianity.

Saying the prayer is a step; it's not the destination.

Last time I checked transgression of the Law is a sin, not drinking or either smoking. Eating bacon is a sin, breaking the sabbath day is a sin, fornication is a sin, lust is a sin, and so on and so on.

Oh and I can't find the verse that say to accept jesus christ in your heart and you're saved, can you? But I do read in......

Heb 10:
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

You are getting the wrong covenant.

Isaiah 65 WEB

1 "I am inquired of by those who didn't ask; I am found by those who didn't seek me: I said, See me, see me, to a nation that was not called by my name.

2 I have spread out my hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not righteous, after their own thoughts;

3 a people who provoke me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens, and burning incense on bricks;

4 who sit among the graves, and lodge in the secret places; who eat PIG'S FLESH, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

5 who say, Stand by yourself, don't come near to me, for I am holier than you. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all the day.

65:5 Which say, {h} Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These [are] a smoke in my nose, a fire that {i} burneth all the day.

(h) He shows that hypocrisy is always joined with pride and contempt of others.

(i) Their punishment will never have an end.

65:5 Holier - Thus they esteemed themselves holier than others, though all their holiness lay in rituals, and those too, such as Yahweh never commanded. Of these Yahweh saith, These are a smoak in my nostrils, a fire that burneth all the day; that is, a continual provocation to me: as smoak is an offence to our noses

Thanks, dear, but you're not preaching to a captive choir here. When I think of Jesus, I think of a teacher/rabbi, which is what he was before people turned him into whatever they could dream up. If anything, Christ provides a sense of ethics to follow. I don't expect him or anyone else to "save" me from anything. I'm the only one who can choose to do that, or not. Most myths don't work for me anyhow.

I see Yahshua more as a mentor, brother, and friend than a "savior" who only saves those that are willingly enslaved.
