Friend - Find something better to do or get a real life. Not all Christians believe the Bible is without error or does not contradict itself. This going on and on about YOU Christians, YOUR Bible, YOU atheists, YOU whatever is tiresome and old. If you want to read the Bible...read what Jesus says to do and then go practice loving your neighbor. God Bless and Save You.

I see there is a lot on your plate. Don’t just open the book, you need to go inside. The Genesis issue will help with a lot of other points of confusion. In the first chapter 1: 1-5, “God divided the light from the darkness.” This is spiritual light, or truth that is now filling all space, and darkness (humanly conceived misconceptions) is not there any more. God is creating here the only way He knows how, in and of Himself and perfectly spiritual, not materially mortal as the old man would have you believe. Then later in Genesis, the spiritual ideas are unfolding, and on the fourth day (not literally) we see that a lot of wonderful things did appear.
Then later in Genesis, after the mist appears, then humans believe anything and everything that never was and is not.
As you read you must look for the spiritual significance, otherwise you are wasting your time. The bible is a road map, but you need to learn how to read it. I hope this helps you get out of that old chair.

Do you know what the phrase "in context" means?
1. God ordered killing because Moses and everyone were in the camps, and some people there had been worshipping false gods. God brought the Ten Commandments, and one of the first ones were, "you shall not have any other gods before me", make "yourself an idol...." The angel killed men to save the city, the LORD said, "For I will defend this city to save it" (2KI 19:34, NRSV).
When reading the Bible, it is a good thing to read THE WHOLE VERSE.
RO 14:21 "It is good not to eat meat or drink wine OR DO ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOUR BROTHER OR SISTER (THIS MEANS ANYONE) STUMBLE."
RO 3:10 "The is no one who is righteous, not even one, there is no one who has understanding, THERE IS NO ONE WHO SEEKS GOD." A righteous man seeks God. This part of Romans is talking about JEWS and GREEKS, not Christians.
Since God can do anything, can't He create a TEMPORARY ARTIFICIAL LIGHT UNTIL HE CREATED THE SUN??
EDIT
Besides, God IS light.

Well I am glad you were shocked that you found error with the Bible.
1. God Prohibits Murder and established law, which also had consequences for disobedience - I actually think that was more a last resort as many people were not killed for these things ie. Sons of Eli, and the Witch of Endor etc...
2. I do believe that is talking about wine, not grape juice. That is not a contradiction, many people made their living off the vine. You have no references from Proverbs which is interesting because when you put all those verses together and look at what they say all together, It is good not to drink wine, because it is sneaky (Proverbs 11 or somewhere there) it bites like a viper. Paul also says in one of is books, everything is permissable but not everything is good for you.
I used to drink alcohol (I actually do like it, so it is a sacrifice), but I don't now based on a few verses, one from Romans asking what didn't I recieve when I became a Christian, and that wine is for those who are depressed and poor (in Proverbs) and that Kings and Priest don't and Jesus has raised us up to that position when He went to Heaven. Jesus drank wine but I am sure He did not get drunk on wine.
Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.
Righteous means to be in right standing with God, which is what happens for the men of Old Testament when they had faith (Heb 11) and for N.T and us today it is Through Faith in Jesus Christ. This is how it makes us Righteous, but not sinless.
4. I agree with the Guy who said God is light. Because Heaven won't have a sun or moon and it will be light.
To understand the Bible you need to read it in context with the rest of the Bible not putting a few choice Scriptures together to make a point.
Any how I pray God blesses you as you search His word and I pray God reveals Himself to you as you study it.
Keep up the good work.

If I thought that you were actually willing to listen I could help you understand these specific "errors". What you have found are not errors but misunderstandings on your part. If you are going to attack the bible at least come up with some tough questions, these are plain easy. Let me ask you a question. What makes you an authority on the matter? Have you ever even read the full bible? did you just get this off of some website? "It is better to be silent and thought of as a fool than to speak and expel all doubt"

First of all you are waisting your time. Anybody can make these kinds of arguements. The true Bible believers will make all kinds of excuses why it contradicts itself from taking it out of context to metaphores. So your points fall on deef ears. Even the ones, like me, who know it to be based on truth and not word for word true can easily argue you on this. However our words would fall on deef ears there.
See the truth is nobody can perfectly write history, even history itself has contradictions. However it is our individual rights to read between the lines to find the truth. Somethings in history and in religion are easy to find if we look for it. However if we look at them with a closed mind and closed eyes we will never find them.
This is true for religious zelots and Athiest zelots alike. A true Athiest or religious person is either a person that has studied as much as they could about thier beliefs with an open mind or a person that respects others beliefs. Any other person can not truely call themselves anything. Example How can a Christian (who's religion teaches understanding and forgiveness) ever bash another religion. Or how can an Athiest, which means not believing in religion debate something like a Bible?
Either way I think you can see where I'm going with this. If you don't know the other side that well, don't bash them.

God alone holds life. He can have it taken away. He can order it.
Wine. I don't see contradiction. Alcoholics have a problem
Righteous. Jesus was the dividing line on this. Old wine, new wine. Before, righteousness was stained, but sacrifice covered it up, now, there is the ultimate sacrifice....which is key on judgment day
Creating the concept of light and a sun to give light.... again, no contradiction.
just look at things simply

In 25 words or less?
Contradictions exist in the minds of those who cannot interpret the Bible and have an anti-Christian agenda. None of the authors of your "contradictions" are reputable scholars of any stripe.
It is the opinion of a web site author who falsely interprets the Bible that needs to be questioned.

Instead of finding errors in the word of God one must be concern of the future toward eternity to live forever. Because one will have to account for all of this noinsense when judgement day comes.
