The Onion is politically incorrect but hysterical. Maybe you missed the article about Jesus hiring an associate Christ.

The religious fanatics in Kansas have been trying to force kids in school to learn the nonsense that is 'Intelligent Design' as if it were truth. They are attempting to bring back the Dark Ages as religious fanatics are meant to do.

By the way, if it is from The Onion, it is satire.

I'm not sure there has ever been much in the way of evolution in Kansas. They still think Julie Garland is some kind of commie.
