Have you had a hormone panel done? It is a simple blood or saliva test. It could be that your hormone patch is not giving you the right combination of hormones. If you don't already have one, find a gynecologist who specializes in hormone replacement therapy...preferably bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

I had a complete hysterectomy 29 years ago and am still on Premarin. It is the only way I feel well and mentally sound. Without it the depression is very serious. (I have tried many times to wean off, to no avail)

They work perfect for me and I will most likely never go off of it.

You might need a stronger patch, if they make them in strengths.

I feel for you I had a Hyster 2 years ago. I keep a glass of ice by the bed as well as a cold pack and my fan is always blowing. Good Luck!!

awww redrosa' its not that easy' I had one as well 5 years ago and do you know i still get them now and then. I just try and breathe! and they tend to go away (ceiling fans help).. I think we are stuck with them if you ask me... my GYN told me sometimes it can be years. YEARS i said' omg well i had been on different hormones , now im taking nothing and still get them. I wish you better luck than me Doll.

If they took your ovaries too.. you were thrown into instant menopause. Join the rest of us sistahs an sweat it out hun! you may try herbal teas or creams, some people report relief from these, others dont. :)
