oK what if you want to dye your hair golden platinum blonde, but your hair is to dark to achieve that color! what do you have to do next? clear answers please!

It's called double process. You 1st need to strip the hair of all color, then dye it the color u want.

If you have dark hair and want it gold then you don't have to bleach it as much. If you want it very very light with a hint of gold you would probably have to bleach the virgin hair a lot if not twice. If you have previously used dark haircolor do not do any bleaching yourself because it is extremely difficult to have the color come out even. The easy answer would be to bleach the hair and then use a gold toner. It isn't that simple though. That color is very difficult to maintain and I suggest not doing it. If you really really want it then go to a professional first to see what is involved, then maybe you can touch up the roots yourself. That is if you have any experience in doing your color yourself. Bleach will damage your hair and it will break off if you don't do it right.

use a better product or don't color your hair that color or add an extra layer of highlights on top of that color
