The population of the UK was 62 million at the time of writing, but there are 29 million over 60 years of age, leaving 33 million to do the work.
People under 21 total 19 million which leaves 14 million people to do the work.
Because of the 8 million school, university and government employees, there are only 6 million left to do the work.
1 million in the armed forces leave 5 million workers.
Deduct 2 million local council, police and fire brigade employees, and we are left with 3 million to do the work.
There are 1.5 million people in hospitals, asylums, out of work through disability and treatment facilities leaving 1.5 million workers.
However, 1.45 million of these are out of work, employed in unofficial jobs or others who will not work, leaving 50,000 to do the work.
Now, it may interest you to know that there are 49,998 people in jail so that leaves just 2 people to do all the work, and that is you and me, and as you are sitting here reading this.. It means I am doing all the work!
