As long as you have clearly forgiven them, the best thing to do for them is to pray that forgiveness comes into their heart. They are accountable for that.

Sometimes forgiving someone is not so easy as a snap of the fingers; our love for each other is not perfect. If you have sincerely asked for forgiveness and were not forgiven, be as considerate as you can be when you encounter him/her, but this may be a relationship not worth persuing, give the person time and space and move on.

You didn't say what you did to offend him? Being a Christian doesn't mean he has to forgive you. You must have did some terrible thing. What was it? Did you cheat on him? Come on honey fess up if you want my sympathy I'm not going to be one of these sympathetic sheep and blame the other person for not forgiving you unless I know what you are to be forgiven for. I know you will get plenty of sympathy from others on here but not from me. Kisses Betty.

Even some Christians have very critical spirits! There's not a lot you can do, other than what you've done. You've asked their forgiveness, and God's, just pray for them and move on.

If you apologized to this person and they still won't forgive you, you have done all you can do. Just leave them alone and let them cool off. As long as you apologize to this person and God you are ok. If this person is a real friend they will forgive you!

I'm Christian myself, and as much as we try to be like Jesus, human nature seems to kick in a bit. Whoever is having trouble forgiving you, I'd say to pray for them. That's the most you can do, for them and for yourself.

So what if they don't forgive you? You fulfilled your end of the bargain. Who're people going to like more, the stubborn one, or the one who forgives?

By the way, was there an apology involved?

If they expect God to forgive them, they too must be able to forgive. If they are true Christians then they know this. Tell them this and forgive them and walk away. It will be up to them after that.

If they refuse to forgive you, then you have to go on. Pray for them, but don't dwell on the matter. If your not careful, you'll find yourself dwelling on it, and before you know it, you've allowed it to rob you of your peace and joy, and the other person has already moved on.
