the day before thanksgiving my bf decided to break up with me.he said it was because he had doubt about a lot of things.he's a freshman in college and i'm a senior in high school. So after he used this "reason" i didn't believe him because i figured that he just wants to play around while he's there and i told him that i didn't want to see him again. later, he told some mutual friends of ours that he didn't trust me but he wanted to talk to me.they also said that they asked how i was doing because he wanted to know. he's even tried to contact me through facebook and even one of his friends, who had a part in the break up tried to request me as a friend through the site. i happily declined. for me, it seems like he wants to be friends to make himself feel better about everything. when we broke up he hinted at getting together again in the future. i told him that i never want to speak to him again. lately, i've wanted to contact but i don't want to be the one who caves. Advice?

and he tells our friends that i'm not truthful making them think that i'm not. it's like he's using my past mistakes to cover up his own because according to him i was "too attached to my single lifestyle."

i don't trust his "reason" because the whole time he was breaking up with me he was crying. he breaks up with me yet he cries? he obviously was at odds within himself about the whole thing. like maybe he thought that it wasn't the right thing to do.

First, wait a few days before calling. Give him some time to think about things. This will show that you are not desperate b/c you don't want to seem desperate. If you do, then the guy will know that you are really torn up. Basically just act apathetic and then see what happens. Don't be mad at him though b/c break-ups are always rough no matter the circumstances.

you are in the right to not want to speak to him again. he's playing games by trying to contact you while telling mutual friends that you are being untruthful. keep your distance and enjoy the single life. it's not worth it to contact him or be contacted by him.
