Ever since I was a kid I watched the He-Man & She-Ra Christmas special every year. I loved the slow as a kid and half the fun of Christmas is being a kid again so it is nice to be reminded of when I belived that being brave and good could actually make the world better.
Another Christmas film I love is the version of A Christmas Carol that has Patrick Stuart as Scrooge. I think that he is a great actor and the film is really well made. Also it has Richard E Grant in it which brings me onto...
Withnail & I is another film I love to watch over Christmas. It is not a very Christmas-like film at all but it does remind me of a lot of friends I used to spend a lot of happy times with. At Christmas I like to think of my friends and times that I enjoyed.
So I guess the films I actually like to see at this time of year are ones that remind me of people I know, friends and family. Well I guess that might be appropriate to the season, or just a bit old and sad. Either way that's how it is.
Thanks for asking.

This is a pretty cheesy answer, but I really like Dolly Parton's Christmas specials she has had in the past. And I really liked a Christmas episode of Touched by an Angel one year. But I have not seen many serious Christmas movies. The only Christmas movies I've seen are the funny ones. I have been told that there are some really good ones though. And this year, I might try to watch them.

Ohhh ... "A Wonderful Life" for sure. What a beautiful film. You'll see why when you watch it (if you haven't already).
Also, while there is an older--and wonderful--film version, I love Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". You certainly don't have to be religious to appreciate the ideas in this story. Every year, I try to see if there are plays in town. I never get bored of it.
Oh! One more: I can't remember now if it's actually a film or one of those "specials" they put on every year, but I love "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (anyway, I think that's what it's called ...)

I rather like The Christmas List. The one with Mimi Rogers. I'm not a big fan of xmas movies, but I do like this one! Because it's a little quirky.
And Christmas in Connecticut. I prefer the Kris Kristofferson version, but I'll watch the Barbara Stanwyck version too.

It's a Wonderful Life
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer ("Bumbles bounce!")
A Christmas Story ("I like Santa." "You'll shoot your eye out!")
A Charlie Brown Christmas (love the jazzy music, and I hate jazz)
The black and white A Christmas Carol (greatest Christmas story of all time, I think)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas ("He's a mean one--Mr. Grinch.")
Meet John Doe
The Nightmare Before Christmas ("What's this?!")
