In the Hebrew the words are greatly intertwined. So are the words of man and woman with fire.

this s an interesting question. Certainly they are not identical, however it is possible that in fact alegorically one who knows might use them as shall we say somewhat interchangable. If this were so then the lake of fire might be a repository of souls like the Jewish "place" named the Guff, and would then tie Christian scripture to Hindu ideas regarding re incarnation or transmutation.

very interetsing.

this would tie into what seems to me to be the truth about scriptures in that they are vehicles written by inspired people trying to explain what can not easily be put into words. Words be nature being rooted in what is already known. I for instance have had visions of things I know to be true, and actually have successful applications in life but, can not easily teach them because there are no words. Communicating such truths is a work like poetry or figures of speech and a person receiving the likes of that type of communication may even think they understand but actually do not or do understand but because their current beliefs or paradigm, is so far removed they think that they don't get it.

I am thinking you are beginning to understand that there is not only a literal meaning to scripture but an encrypted part as well.

No - fire is a visible, tangible effect of matter changing form. Typically, fire comes from a chemical reaction between oxygen in the atmosphere and some sort of fuel. For the combustion reaction to happen, you have to heat the fuel to its ignition temperature.

A soul is not visible nor tangible, and I don't know of a sound argument for a soul being the effect of matter changing form.

No, because fire isn't made out of anything, its a chemical reaction, and there is no such thing as a soul.

No, I am pretty sure souls are made out of brains and chemical/electrical impulses.
