How much are they selling it for? And how long do you plan to keep it?
Consider the fact in a mere 3 years the car will be 10 years old. How much use will you get out of it and will you have to put a lot of money into it to maintain it.
Seven years isn't necessarily old - but it depends on the car. Why not try something a little newer. Or switch to a different model vehicle with an excellent track record and good resale value. But whatever you decide PLEASE make sure you have a trusted mechanic check out the vehicle thoroughly before you agree to buy.

The Rav 4 has been real good for alot of people and there value has held real well... Its cost VS value and what you need it for day to day use.
1st check prices of a few in your area and across the counrty and then if you decide you want it, Get CAR FAX and check the history.
1999 2000 models are good and if you can get one for under 3500.00 to 5500.00 depending on mileage and condition Also if its a 4X4 model... Average miles on these years are 75,000 less is better. 7000.00 for a lower mile one might be ok.
There are alot of them on the road today and they sell every week on ebay... Good Luck with your choice.

RAV-4 is a reliable car, as long as it's been maintained properly. But also look at the Honda CR-V, it has more power, room and costs around the same.
I've had my CR-V for 8 years and never had a problem with it. It even gets 27mpg.

DO NOT buy this, the reason is back then the rav 4 was a very top heavy car, it has a very high tendency to flip and rollover, it is very unsafe, do not get it.

I bought a 94 with 172,000 miles. A Toyota with 400,000 is better than a Ford,G.M.,or Dodge new.

Toyotas are not the superb motor vehicle in the marketplace. it particularly is merely me conversing, I perfer save away from, yet whilst it particularly is much less costly, clean, low miles, solid historical past, solid physique then decide for it. i'd sell you my 'seventy seven Granada even though it particularly is my purely working automobile on the instant 2d
