Be patient with her. Hold her for awhile and if you have a sling carry her. When she is not upset or crying put her down in your lap and play with her with some of her toys. When she acts interested in the toys, gently place her by you. Keep doing this until you are able to move away from her. It may take a few days, but she will realize that you are right there with her and she can do things by herself.

When you cook, let her see what you are doing and talk to her and maybe give her measuring cups to play with. Tell her what you are doing and place her by your feet so she can still be with you.

She will come around. If not, you may want to rule out any illnesses.

Good Luck to you!!!!

As long as she is getting attention at other times, it is okay to let her cry. But she is one, and one of the few needs of a one year old is contact. If you are sure this need is being met, just set her to play with things to distract her and let her cry for a couple minutes or so. Then go back and reassure her you are there and love her and leave her again. After a while she will understand that she can play and you will come back.

Try a kangaroo bouncer if she's wanting to be held it holds the kid and if the kid moves it bounces them up and down keeping them off the ground or try having things that move to distract her.

I know this sounds harsh but you should just let her cry act like your not bothered and she will soon stop, she will keep on doing it if u keep picking her up.

She needs your attention. You need to set aside time for just you and her and then let her help you, with your chores, she'll feel important and you are both building memories.

Just ignore her and try to keep her occupied by something else.
Soon she will stop- thats how my daughter was. But of course if she is hurt or sick you can still pick her up.

You need to let her cry! Crying wont hurt her. She needs to know she doesn’t need to be held all the time.

The best thing to do is let her cry, she will learn that it isnt getting her anywhere and eventually stop.
