Yes.
The Bible says in Matthew 24:24 that false Christs shall arise and if possible should deceive the very elect. Devil is no fool as he uses even this precious verse to present his another Jesus.
Satan ultimate role would be to "act" as Jesus.
Satan uses people to undermine the faith and obedience of others.
Satan used Eve to get to Adam.
Satan used Peter in an attempt to get to our Lord. (Matthew 16:21)
Satan is very crafty.
Satan ultimate goal is to be like the most High (Isaiah 14:14).
Satan is the master of counterfeiters.
Jesus said, they are “wolves in sheep’s clothing”. (Matthew 7:15)

Satan is an evil spirit, and has no physical form. He can only influence our thoughts. Demonic possession is said to be more of form of self-hynpnosis, where the possessed person surrenders to the suggestions of Satan.
As a spirit, Satan is not limited to time or space. So, his evil presence can be felt simultaneously at different locations. Certain myths claim that Satan can take the form of animals, but I cannot say one way or the other. Additionally, some describe Satan has a fallen archangel, who has taken other fallen angels with him, and Satan is therefore able to direct and order these fallen angels to do his evil bidding in the spiritual world.
Satanists, or those that worship Satan, may have different theories about who and what Satan is.
When I was in college, I met a group of persons whom I believed were influenced by Satan. There were three of them, whom I met at a fraternity party. They asked me if I knew the location of another fraternity house, which I did know. I offered to show them where it was. The house was up in hilly area above the campus, and a relatively short walk. As we were walking, one of them, whom I presume to be the leader, progressively became agitated and angry, suggesting that I didn't know where I was going. I just got a very odd feeling. The three were not students at the school, and didn't know their way around. As I was on the track team, and a fast runner, at the very first opportunity, I took off running. The three tried to give chase, but they could not keep up with me as I ran up a series of hills, and lost them through winding streets.
I could hear the echoes of their screams and howls from my dorm room. I presume that they managed to find their way out of the hills.
The scarey thing was that the next day a young woman was found dead on campus. No details were officially given, but I heard that the young woman was the victim of a ritual killing. I think the killers were those three young men, and I could have been the victim. I notified the police. They asked for a description, etc., but no arrests were ever made.

He exists, but his powers depend on your faith...
i guess we'll all find out some day, but personally I'd rather be a decent person and not take any chances...eternity is a mighty long time.
If there is no God, how come all time is based on BC and AD??

Fictional characters like Satan only have the imaginary powers ascribed to them by those who imagine that the fictional characters are real.

He is the father of lies, and has the power to transform himself into an angel of light. He is also the god of this world, and rules earth until Jesus gets back here to overthrow him. So be not deceived.
