I have terrible anxiety about the dentist. I need to be medicated just to have a cleaning done.
Your teeth can be repaired. That is the good news. As long as the roots are healthy you can save your teeth.
The first thing you need to do is have an oral examination of your gums and teeth. Believe it or not, the health of your gums may have more to do with the success of saving your teeth than you think.
It will be expensive to save your teeth, but no one can tell you exactly what will be done. It depends on how much of your teeth can be saved and if you want to save them.
What ever choice you make, you will always receive sedation before any work is done. Usually this is an injection of novacaine which will numb the area the Dentist is working on.
You may have several options. If the rot is severe, you may need root canal surgery. If it is not severe and can be cleaned the next step will be to determine how much healthy tooth is above the gum line. If there is enough then you may be fitted with a crown.
If there is not enough there is a root lengthening procedure that dentists do to make the tooth above the gum line longer. once this is done the tooth can be crowned.
For your front teeth a porcelain crown is used. They now have technology that allows the crown to be made that day in the Dentist's office. it is called a Cerec. I just had one. It is no more difficult than a filling.
See a dentist right away. The longer you wait the more damage you are doing to your teeth.
If you choose to have the teeth out an oral surgeon will sedate you before he removes the roots. This will involve an incision and stitches. But you won't feel a thing. Your recovery will depend on the health of your gum tissue.

i had this problem. they remove the roots and can set up a bridge for the missing tooth. My dentist used a curved tool that went up the side of the root and pulled it out (kinda like a melon baller) it didnt hurt all that much, but i have a really good dentist. try calling 1 800 dentist and the can match a dentist in your area to you

humorous! This merely occurred to my boyfriend and we are quite livid, if a dentist gave you a filling whilst for sure you mandatory a root canal you're able to document a criticism on your money decrease back, or have them pay on your root canal which decision variety 2 can no longer take place because of the fact a root canal is costly and that they does no longer choose to. right this moment I went to the dentist to get some fillings and it grew to become out that i mandatory root canals rather, I begged my dentist to easily fill them in and he refused, if he refused it particularly is for a reason, no if and or buts... my bf have been given a terrible soreness after he have been given a filling the place he mandatory a root canal and now we gained't discover the dentist because of the fact she have been given fired and it particularly is not any ask your self why !!

Ask your Dr for a recommendation for a dentist. You have neglected your teeth terribly. The dentist may do implants or give you dentures.
