The milk in Starbucks always tastes off to me. For coffee, I think Cafe Nero is the best. I like Starbucks' range of herbal teas but I end up in Costa most often for the best hot chocolate ever, which they serve with marshmallows and whipped cream. Nowehere does it as well as they do. So I guess it depends what you're going there for.

I work for Costa!!! Of course its us.....

At Starbucks, coffee is roasted in huge quantities at very high temperatures, and the quality is often inconsistent....

At Costa, we hand select all our beans, and then roast them in smaller batches for longer at lower temperatures, ensuring stringent quality control....

You will notice that at Starbucks, you can never actually see the Barista making the coffee, as it is all done automatically on poor machines.

At Costa, all our machines arte customer facing, as we like our customers to interact with the art of coffee making.....

Here is an interesting fact too......

Starbucks, have NEVER made a profit outside of the USA, 2006 was the first year they have broken even. Worldwide, they are financed by Head Office in America.

Costa have over 600 stores worldwide, and in April next year we will overtake Starbucks in volume market share (we have ALWAYS beaten all other coffee shops in the UK on turnover!)

Seeing as how you'll get hundreds of Americans answering this who have never even heard of Costa, it being a comparatively small British chain owned by Italians..its a fairly pointless question.

But Costa is a hundred times better...coffee was never meant to be served with half a ton of whipped cream dumped on it.

Starbucks, especially their Christmas Blend in the whole beans. Grind it yourself and that stuff is gooood. Although I must admit that I have never tried Costa. Might have to look into getting some of that.

Not sure. Do love Starbucks. Haveta try Costa. Where do I find it?

For at home use, I like 100 percent Arabica bean coffee.

Not worried about who makes it though. It is supposed to be very low acid.

You BETTER like Starbucks if you're shelling out a $5.00 bill for a cup of burnt coffee.

At least keep telling yourself you like it. That way you can justify buying more and more.

Personally, I gave up the coffee and put my $5.00 a day habit into Marlboro. A pack lasts all day. Your coffee cools within the hour.
