What's the California Highway Patrol Academy like?

I've been contemplating a career change lately and I'm considering joining the California Highway Patrol? Can anyone tell me about the training process and the Academy? The training/academy sounds challenging, but also interesting. Any recommendations for how I should prepare, etc.? I've read everything on the website, but I'm looking for first hand knowledge. Thanks in advance!

i dont think it matter if ur a high way patrol officer or a local officer......same tactic and goal

It is just like any orher police academy, plenty of physical and academic training.
