Ok I don't know anything about adoption law but you are doing what you think is best for your child. You are getting them the food, shelter, clothes etc they need and in order to do that you've realized they need to live with someone else. Don't listen to those other people. Your child may not understand for awhile but they'd hate you more if you kept them and them couldn't even provide the basics of life. I don't understand why the other people are being so horrible to you. You're doing the right thing for your child and that's commendable. No matter what anyone says to you or about you, you need to remember that.

When I placed my baby, I already had his father's consent and signature. What the agency will do is put an ad out in the newspaper, (reasonable notification) and usually there is no response, so the adoption placement can move forward.

It was a difficult choice for me to place my son, but I am so glad I did. He is a vibrant, loving, healthy child that knows I am his birthmother.

first of all, i hate to say it, but you slept with the guy, and since you got pregnant, you should keep the child. I know firsthand what adoption does to a kid... i was adopted by my dad, and my best friend was adopted by his father's mother. A child you give up will grow to hate you if you give it up, i know. WE both hate our biological fathers... but he has the worst of it because he hasnt seen his mother since he was little, and he is upset about the whole thing because he never sees her, he doesnt know how to reach her, doesnt know if he has any other siblings, or anything... for your sake, and the kids, keep it, find a job, be committed, and keep it.

Amen, I mean you got your self in this situation. I don't know why girls do this. I can understand if your young and whatever but.... you knew what you were doing so mayeb you should reconsider the childs life that your going to riuin. Then again you maybe giving it the best gift of all. No wait you cant only the real mother can do that.Sorry but that my opinion;
