THANKS and for the dude that said I was judgeing the athiest,I might be alot of things, being self rightious isn't one of them.I don't care if you believe or don't believe,,I'll like all you yahoo people anyway.

I didn't read your other questions.

However my belief in the God of the Bible doesn't waiver and has become stronger the more I study His Word. Since God created & since Jesus lived and breathed on this planet with us, He knows us inside and out. His Word contains all that we need. He knows that our faith may waiver now and then.

The more you get to know God, by reading His Word, the stronger your faith will be.

Hebrews Chapter 11 is a awesome chapter on faith. I hope you get a chance to read it soon!

the words faith and believe mean the same thing

Here are the first few verses:
"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By fiath we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which were visable." Hebrews 11:1-3

And remember that we can't blame evil things on God, satan is the ruler around here for now. That is a whole other study that is well worth taking the time to do. Satan has shcemes and methods for attacking us, attacking families, inocent children etc...

Its hard to reconcile suffering with faith in a loving God. But for me, it all comes down to purpose. Why should a sweet, loving child suffer something like cancer, or be murdered at the hands of their parents. How can a loving God allow such things?

There is a reason. The Bible tells us "ALL things happen for good", all things work together for GOOD. That even if it is bad, or hard, or difficult, there is a purpose, a good purpose we may not see yet. Maybe the cancer patients, may give knowledge to those seeking a cure, maybe the abused children will finally make people stand up and hold abusive parents accountable, so someday the suffering will stop. We cant always see Gods plan, but we can be assured he has one.

Thumbs down me, I know people will. But that is my opinion on the question. Ive had the same question myself.

you're making a sturdy factor right here. If a Christian relatively wanted to instruct God's life interior the tangible international, does no longer that Christian would desire to arise with the main suitable merchandise's parameters? interior the top, the Christian could would desire to define God surely and precisely with the intention to definitively take the test to its logical end. using scientific approach to instruct something that has no tangible life is an absurdity and does no longer stick to scientific approach. yet....as quickly as God is defined scientifically, does no longer faith start to slide and grow to be extra based on the tangible, defined God? as quickly as you define God interior the tangible, He loses that ability of omnipotence. I, too, don't comprehend why Christians make the attempt to locate God using technology, because of the fact, if their quest is useful, it may wreck their faith and forged their faith into oblivion and confusion. you're good. with out faith, God can not shield His place interior the perception gadget. i think of believers are only making an empty gesture with the intention to infiltrate the faculties and scientific establishments, because of the fact no person i understand of has set down the essential parameters that define God. Even "irreducible complexity" makes a bounce on the top that does no longer instruct initiation by using God, because of the fact God is undefined.

In short, bad things happen because humans are fallible and have free will to choose good or evil. The long answer is as follows.

*****************

3:5.5 The uncertainties of life and the vicissitudes of existence do not in any manner contradict the concept of the universal sovereignty of God. All evolutionary creature life is beset by certain inevitabilities. Consider the following:

3:5.6 1. Is courage -- strength of character -- desirable? Then must man be reared in an environment which necessitates grappling with hardships and reacting to disappointments.

3:5.7 2. Is altruism -- service of one's fellows -- desirable? Then must life experience provide for encountering situations of social inequality.

3:5.8 3. Is hope -- the grandeur of trust -- desirable? Then human existence must constantly be confronted with insecurities and recurrent uncertainties.

3:5.9 4. Is faith -- the supreme assertion of human thought -- desirable? Then must the mind of man find itself in that troublesome predicament where it ever knows less than it can believe.

3:5.10 5. Is the love of truth and the willingness to go wherever it leads, desirable? Then must man grow up in a world where error is present and falsehood always possible.

3:5.11 6. Is idealism -- the approaching concept of the divine -- desirable? Then must man struggle in an environment of relative goodness and beauty, surroundings stimulative of the irrepressible reach for better things.

3:5.12 7. Is loyalty -- devotion to highest duty -- desirable? Then must man carry on amid the possibilities of betrayal and desertion. The valor of devotion to duty consists in the implied danger of default.

3:5.13 8. Is unselfishness -- the spirit of self-forgetfulness -- desirable? Then must mortal man live face to face with the incessant clamoring of an inescapable self for recognition and honor. Man could not dynamically choose the divine life if there were no self-life to forsake. Man could never lay saving hold on righteousness if there were no potential evil to exalt and differentiate the good by contrast.

3:5.14 9. Is pleasure -- the satisfaction of happiness -- desirable? Then must man live in a world where the alternative of pain and the likelihood of suffering are ever-present experiential possibilities.

Well simply realize that...

A. We as humans brought sin into the world.

B. A lot of human suffering is either self-inflicted or directly from other humans!

C. This world is cursed and not meant to be perfect.

D. There is a perfect life coming up for those who believe and follow and that is our goal, not a "heaven on earth."

You need to go to Bible Study and learn the Word as well as you can, then you will understand and get answers to your questions. The same thing happened to me. I didn't understand why this and why that. You don't know His Word much. Once you spend daily time in prayer and reading, the Lord will unfold and reveal to you. Ask and He will answer.

Matt 7:7
7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

God Bless!

Faith is a gift. It is given to us by God. It is in our nature sometines to question or doubt. Remember this Scripture - Mark 9:24 - Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"

Hebrews 11:1 - What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see.

The Gospel is a way of faith. The Christian life is a walk of faith. Faith please God and he rewards it: "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Hebrews 11:6)

Billy Graham has said, "Faith will manifest itself in three ways: in doctrine, worship, and fellowship. It will manifest itself in morality in the way we live and behave. The Bible also teaches that faith does not end with trust in Christ for our salvation. Faith continues! Faith Grows! It may be weak at first, but it will become stronger as we begin to read the Bible, pray, go to church, and experience God's faithfulness in our Christian life."

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Find yourself in prayer and in the Word of God, exercise your faith and your faith will grow. It is about like physical muscles, the more you work them out the bigger and more reliable the become.

I am praying for you. God bless you.

I believe in God and everything in the Bible. I choose to believe everything in the Bible just as I choose everyday to believe that Jesus walked on this earth & gave His life for all people.
I choose to beleive in God when things are going great and when things are not- I am not a fair weather Christian.
It is a choice- that is why we have free will.
Some will chose Him and some will not.

The thing they don't understand is that we've SEEN GOD WORK.
Faith is one thing, but God gives us miracles to fall back upon.

You can argue till you're blue that the guy did not find buried treasure in his back yard. You can tell him that no pirates ever landed here. But when he spends the money he found there's no doubt in his mind.
