Wash em up with Pampers Baby Wipes. the unfragranced ones..Or you can put a capful of Listerine in a bowl of warm water (about a quart) and wash them with a washcloth and dry them well with towels.

NO! do NOT put a dog that young in a large pool of water. they can get sick or get scared and panick. and if the water is too much pressure it can collapse their lungs! take a damp, lightly warm, washcloth and ever so gently clean him off. yes keep the water away from their faces they can ingest it and damage their stomach if it has soap in it. don't use baby shampo for right now just use water and maybe a tiny bit of dog shampoo. be careful. this stage in their life as a young pup is crucial to their health. do not put any soap where they can get it into their system liek their ears nose and mouth and eyes etc. be very gentle and thourough and make very SURE to dry them off completely right after bathing them. do not use anything like a hairdryer to dry them off just use a fresh dry small towel of rub it over them gently until they don't have any damp spots.

Be careful when you bathe a pup for the first time. Pups that young can become limp. Pups that young dont like water, they dont know what water is. Just clean the dog as needed. I would only use warm water and a good wash cloth at this time. At six or eight weeks they will handle it much better.

If they really are in a state, use warm water and baby bath, only do their bodies, and leave them in a warm place on towels until they are bone dry - it takes hours. Don't expose them to drafts or cold.
Try to borrow a heat lamp.
Put them out the way and give the puppy pen and bed a good clean too.

I don't suggest baby shampoo. It should be fine as long as you use a dog shampoo for sensitive skin and be sure to keep their noses out of the water. Getting their faces wet is fine, but they may not know enough to keep from drowning. Then dry them quickly and keep them warm till they are completely dry. We used to raise puppies, so I know a little about them.

I think 4 weeks is far to0 young for bathing. !!! You can use a soft, dry baby brush. You can use a soft facecloth with warm water, but more than that and you will remove the oils that are needed for the coat and make it harder for mum to recognise her pups!
Bathing pups should be only in warm weather, they very soon lose body heat. and only if they are so covered in mud or gunk, that you think they will be ill, if they try to lick it off themselves.
Why give yourself more work than is needed?

Yes you can! Baby shampoo should be fine, just make sure you keep it away from their eyes & ears. Dilute the shampoo in a mug of water before you apply it, so it isn't too concentrated. Dry them as much as you can straight after & keep them warm & out of draughts until they are completely dry.

YES I did and still do weekly who want a smelly dog! Water is natural and a wee bit puppy shampoo is fine! Otherwise you will have a smelly dog which will give you a smelly house. I hate it when people do not regularly bath their dogs, it's so lazy.

no. dont submurse puppys in water ofr the purpose of bathing.
go to your local grocery store ang get some baby wipes. not so cheap ones that are thicker work like a charm for puppys and for cats that just dont, or are too old to keep up grooming.

At this age - its best not to wash them. This is because they need to learn that they must keep clean. That is why their mum has taken a step back.
Obviously its ok to spot clean them beacuse they cover themselves with food, but unless they go through the whole messy stage they won't learn to keep them selves clean.
I recommend using wetwipes without any perfume for spot cleaning.
