the two statements mean the same thing. the fact that he is trying to be funny around you means that he is trying to impress you with his humour. if he is trying to impress you then he is thus interested in you. us men are just that simple.

It could be both! I mean do you like it when he jokes with you, or do you find it annoying? Do share the same sense of humour?
I mean some girls would find it irritating, some miight find it attractive. If you want to find out if he likes you, maybe try asking him some serious questions. If you get a serious answer, than maybe he likes you, & you'll try to find out more. If everything is a joke, then you have to accept that all he is trying to be is funny.

First, what does it mean to take the mickey?
I would say that he might like you, or is just a clown and like to be funny. The best way to find out is ask!

As a guy I can tell you he likes you. But is immature so you'll probably want to move on. Its a defence mechanism because he likes you but doesn't know how to approach you. If you like him tell him, and slip in the fact that these jokes hurt, he'll soon stop and maybe mature in the process.

It can be one or the other. Or both in fact. Just wait and see if this turns into something more or just goes on without any change. Then you'll know for sure.
Hope this helps :)

Of course he does! Otherwise why else would he be making the effort to communicate with you...if he singles you out especially, then the answer is an emphatic yes!

I suppose it could be either way. It depends on what kind of person he is and etc. The best thing to do is ask him.

I would say that he likes you and is just a little shy so he covers that by joking around.
Cheers!

i suppose it depends what the jokes are like, if he says jokes to make you laugh, he probably likes you, but if he takes the mikey offensively he doesn't.
when i first got with my hubby we would always joke and laugh, i felt like a giggly teenager again
