First, start a pot of water boiling. When bubbles are rising to the surface, add a couple of handfuls of spaghetti noodles, breaking them in half first so that they will fit in the pot. Then set a timer for 10-12 minutes (check the box - some pasta noodles take longer) and let it boil as you stir it and add a dash of salt to the water. Drain the noodles in a colander when the timer goes off. You can also heat up spaghetti sauce for on top - just keep the burner warm and stir it! :o) Enjoy your meal!

Here's how I make mine...and I have to say, some of the other answers sound delicious as well.

Brown 1lb of ground beef (sometimes I use turkey)
add 1 medium onion, diced
1 large can of crushed tomato
1 large can of diced tomato with basil and oregano
1 large can tomato sauce
1 large can mushrooms (optional)
1 package of spaghetti sauce mix (you can buy the store brand for about 33 cents...it has all the spices you need, without measuring)
1 tbsp. parmesean cheese

While you put this together and let it simmer for about 30-45 minutes, cook your pasta (whichever thickness you like...I prefer vermicelli, but hubby likes the thicker stuff) When the pasta is done, drain it and use about a tbsp. olive oil or butter to keep it from sticking together.

This tastes really good with a loaf of sun-dried tomato and basil bread.

Boil some water in a pot (make sure it is enough to cover the pasta).
Place noodles in water after it boils.
Place cover on pot, and let cook on stove.
Make sure noodles are soft, but not gooey, and they should be done.

For Sauce we put hamburger in the pan and cook it completely. Smash it all up into chunks. Pick out a spaghetti sauce and heat with the meat in the same pan.

All done

A Skillet{and bit of peanut oil } and chop up 1 large onion, let them turn golden and release their flavors and then put in 2 lbs of ground round hamburger meat, make sure this is well mixed and well cooked or it can be dangerous and make you sick if under cooked then add a pinch of sugar, a pinch of salt and pepper and lemon pepper and a jigger of beer or wine and basil and any other flavor like ginger but not too much, 3 can of tomato paste {small cans} and chopped tomatoes {2 large cans and equal amount of water and let simmer it will take a few hours,,,,You can then cook your sp or you can have a large french sour dough cut in half and pour sauce over them with grated cheese on top and put in oven till melted,,,Serve with tossed salad, and a drink of your choice.

Get you some pasta.....I prefer angel hair to spaghetti, its thinner.......

Get some marinara sauce.....Classico makes some good ones, I really like their Spicy Red Pepper.

And get some sour dough bread sliced.

Boil your angel hair (just follow the directions on the package)...put a little olive oil and salt in the water.

Heat your marinara.....

Get your bread and spread butter and sprinkle garlic powder on it, place in the over for about 15 minutes.....

There's a simple meal for ya!

PS. serve some merlot or chianti with it
