I love my cats, some say i'm cat crazy. I think deep down i know why some people love their pet more than people, it would be good to hear folks views. Thank you.

Some people can be cruel, nasty say horrible things. Pets never answer back. My cat come and lays on my lap for over an hour at a time. Pets are your friend and they come to you when you feel ill, or down. Cats pick up this sense and come to comfort you.

I agree with you. I cannot imagine leaving my cat behind in the event of a natural disaster, etc. My husband thinks Im crazy. He asked me what I would do in a flood if I had a little baby, an older child, and a pet and I had to get out fast.
I would find a way to get my family out fast (including the cat - she is family too).

They love you unconditionally. The dont answer back, condemn you, or make you ashamed..mostly! They instictively know when you are down or upset or hurting. They greet you as though they havent seen you for days, when you only popped out for some milk. When they are sleeping, they usually keep an eye on you!
Their soft snoring is a comforting sound when you are alone.
The only bad thing a pet does, is to die and to leave you.

I love my 2 boys, they're english bulldogs, like crazy, and the feeling is mutual. They love me unconditionally, they don't talk back or have mean things to say to me. No one has ever greeted me the way they do everyday when I get home from work. No one smothers me with hugs and kisses the way they do. They're just a great source of happiness. There's a connection between a pet and his/her person that I believe is therapeutic.

My ex-husband used to accuse me of loving my cats more than him. It was true. My cats love me unconditionally. My cats don't lie to me or cheat on me. When I'm sad and crying, my cats come to me and try to confort me like they understand. My husband ignored me and wondered what my problem was and didn't really care, even if he was the problem.
Sometimes I feel guilty for loving animals so much, then I compare animals and humans and realize that most animals are so much more loveable and understanding than humans.
I'm even used to people murdering each other every day, but when I hear about someone killing and torturing an animal, it just kills me. I think that is because most animals are defenseless and can't help what cruel humans to do them.
Animals are usually never mean or cruel to you on purpose. Sometimes they are out of fear, but never try to hurt you and then pretend like everythings ok.
I wouldn't say that I'm just cat crazy. I'm animal crazy and the older I get, the more I think of my animals, than people. I know it sounds terrible, but it is true.

Easy. Pets can't talk, so they can't say mean things to you. They listen when you need to talk, and they love you no matter what. You are not crazy, it's easier to love a pet more, because they completely depend on you for everything, just like a baby. Sweet huh?

Pets don't hurt our feelings like people do. They only show us love. It is easy to see why some people prefer pets when you look in the paper or on tv to see what some people do to one another. I guess that is the reason.

Some people are cruel to pets but pets are rarely cruel to people unless aggravated by a person its hard not to like pets more then people I know I would go for a pet every time!!!!

Pets have the soul of a child throughout their entire life. They never loose that spark we all love.
They love us unconditionally. They don't care how style our hair, what we wear, or even what we don't. They don't steal the remote, don't try to push anything on you (other than love) and don't say mean things (that we can understand). You don't have to worry about your cooking, they love you even if you burn the pizza and eat it without a single complaint!!
They're the opposite of teenagers - they don't talk back to us unless we give them a GOOD reason!
Last of all, animals have never hurt or killed someone without some sort of reason - people do without any motivation every day.
