i started the atkins diet today.

breakfast i had cereal&milk= 11 g carb
snack i had jello = 3 g carb
lunch salad = 5-6 g carb
dinner = 7 g carb

shud i lower my intake of carbs? how? wut foods can i eat that wont make me hungry often?
also since its the induction period can i eat fruits or not (apples)?
im only exercsing about 10-15 each day (cardio) will i still lose weight without that much exercise?

any other suggestions?

Where did you get the Atkins diet? There's no cereal or milk. Milk is 12 carbs per 8 oz glass alone.

Better re-read the book and check out Induction. There's no grains, cereal or fruit during Induction.

The poster below is wrong. Atkins allows 20 carbs which includes 3 cups of salad + 1 cup of cooked veggies per day. Fruit is added later.

With the atkins diet you are supposed to eat all meat!... I have been on this diet before it is very good but more expensive than most diets...

Breakfast - nibbles of roast chicken and sausages
Dinner - cheese, chicken and a bit of beef
Tea - chicken beef and maybe some ham

This diet works really well and you can eat as much as you want but you cannot eat fruit or veg... and you can only drink water and milk i am afraid.

I lost 2lb in 1 week!!!

this is what i did and i lost 15lbs in about 2 1/2 weeks i just drank the 2carb drinks and ate the low carb bars. good luck
