Since it's your "best friend" get her something like an ipod nano.

Think of it as a birthday gift. Bc the bat mitzvah usually occurs near the birthday. She's your best friend so you'll know best what to get.

Wait, so they are Pentecostal and had a Jewish Bar Mitzvah? Or did they swap faiths? i'm perplexed. it particularly is particularly unusual. i'm Pentecostal and have in no way heard of any Pentecostals having a Bar Mitzvah (sp?) yet i assume people who prepare issues exterior of what the religion preaches are people who provide us Pentecostals a foul call. i'm no longer asserting those human beings inevitably provide us a foul call, yet there are Pentecostals obtainable who particularly are loopy... handling snakes and stuff and we get a foul rep because of the fact of it. the two way, it particularly is amazingly unusual, yet i do no longer think of attending it particularly is offensive to Judaism for the reason which you had no concept. EDIT: i understand, it particularly is particularly unusual. that's what I mean. human beings string off from the unique doctrine and prepare their very own issues, yet nonetheless evaluate themselves to be of that faith. I even have no longer something against Judaism, it merely seems unusual to combine the two. i think of it would be offensive to the two religions in the event that they ever found out however. a minimum of they weren't doing something unlawful or immoral i assume. it particularly is a plus. To Bobby Jim: you merely proved my element. we don't sacrifice animals. purely some Pentecostals do this and that they provide something human beings a foul call. it particularly is why usually human beings think of we are a cult. i will't blame them, it particularly is merely unhappy because of the fact we gained't administration it.

Give her a pretty picture frame that she can put a picture in it, to remember the day. The gift shop at her synagogue may have one that says Bat Mitzvah on it.

In terms of presents, just treat it like any other birthday. Please don't get her a gift certificate though. I'm a smart guy, so everyone seemed to think book store gift certificates would be a good gift for me. But seriously, what's a thirteen year old going to do with a thousand dollars he can only spend at Barnes and Noble?

Ask her parents. They'll have a good idea of what she's already going to be getting, and be able to suggest something in your price range.
